Garhjat hills also known as the Odisha Highlands are mountain range formed by series of low lying hills, plateaux, ridges and meadows. It stretches into Odisha from the Utkal Plains in Chotanagpur region of Jharkhand & Chhattisgarh Plains, with an average height of about 900 m above sea level, the range runs north east to south west direction for about 382 km. Some important peaks include Malayagiri, Manakamacha and Meghasani.
